Who writes these guides?
They come from Premier Spray Foam Co's own field experience installing spray foam across Oregon, covering the conditions and assemblies the crews actually encounter.
Do these guides apply outside Oregon?
The physics does. The specifications often do not. Much of what is written here is tuned to a long damp heating season and to Pacific Northwest roof assemblies.
Where should I start?
If you are specifying a roof deck, start with why we recommend three inches of closed-cell. If you are choosing between materials, start with open-cell against closed-cell.
